Stockyards Saturday

It's still HOT here.  We did have to break away from the pool for awhile today.  We met Nate in Ft. Worth... he had to get his eyes tested and ordered new glasses.  After that, we headed to the Stockyards for lunch and a little picture shopping.  Dean and I had seen a few pictures in a gallery there that we thought Nate would like for over the fireplace in their new house.  When we went in, he did somewhat of a 180 degree turn and found something that was entirely unexpected by very cool.  It's a print of an artists impression of Exchange Street in the Stockyards many years ago.  Anyhow, after hanging the print over the fireplace, it sparked a decision on a color palette for the walls in their family room and kitchen.

Friday through Sunday

Beth & I had the enjoyment of spending the weekend at Lake Cherokee with Rebecca Stack's brother and his wife.  It was beautiful over there, but because of the drought, the lake was very low.  Their house in on a cove and water levels there were about 2 feet deep.  The hospitality was wonderful and we felt like we were at a resort!
The best part of the trip was that Beth was able to go waterskiing!  She hadn't tried to ski in many years and with the patient help of Carlene, she skimmed through the water a number of times.  (Photos to follow!)
